The Color of Feelings

 

 

Project Description:

Second graders will learn about feelings and determine a color associated with each feeling in order to create an Andy Warhol inspired piece of art.  The goal to develop a classroom culture that understands and values one anothers’ feelings.

 

Essential Question:

Why should we value feelings?

 

Timeline for the project (3 weeks):

• Learn about feelings and determine a color to describe that feelings.

• Practice art technique.

• Learn about Andy Warhol

• Interview classmates about their feelings and how they behave

• Create final artwork of four self portraits and with write description from classmat
